Spoetnik One represents my first attempt to reach for the moon.
An attempt which ultimately led to a horrible Burn-Out.
Promises I had believed in like the one that hard labor, loyalty, and ambition would ultimately result in self-fulfilment, turned out to be hollow. The struggle to overcome the damages caused by this tremendous clash with reality led to a series of paintings about rebuilding myself from scratch. Leaving the parts that proved to be harmful, or of no longer use, behind and beating out the dents of what was left of my self-worth.
In the end, I somehow managed to build a new rocket.
Now let us see how this one flies...
